FOOD SAFETY CHALLENGES – WHERE TO FIND SOLUTIONS?

Hanoi, December 17, 2010 ---- Today, the 1st Conference on  Food Analysis and Management co-organized by the National Institute of Food Control and the Vietnam Food Administrator has closed after two meeting days in the National Convention Center.

Nearly 400 guests have participated in the conference, including Dr. Trinh Quan Huan – Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Nguyen Cong Khan – Head of the Department of Food hygiene and safety, Dr. Pham Xuan Da – Head of the National Institute of Food Control , M.D. Charles F. Baxter – Health Affairs Attaché of the Embassy of the United States of America in Vietnam, representatives from World Health Organization (WHO) and UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as well as guests from research institutions, international and domestic universities.

This conference marks one year of performance since the foundation of  the National Institute of Food Control in 2009 and also reveals the increasing Vietnam’s focus and awareness of the importance of food safety control.
